Montessori's timeless principles

A child shaping material with their hands at a Montessori practical-life table

The hand teaches the mind

Children learn by doing, not watching. Real materials in small hands build understanding that lasts far longer than a worksheet.

A Montessori classroom with low wooden tables and child-height shelves

Mixed-age classrooms

Younger children learn from older ones, and older ones lead. Your child grows in empathy, patience, and quiet confidence every day.

Your child's own pace

We follow your child's natural rhythm instead of forcing one timetable on everyone. That is what builds real, lasting motivation to learn.

Rooted, and global

Arabic, Quran, and local traditions sit beside English and the wider world, so your child becomes a global citizen grounded in faith and heritage.

Our children's house in Jumeirah

AlMayameen is an Arabic and English Montessori children's house in Jumeirah 3, rooted in the universal values of Islam. We blend an authentic Montessori environment with the Arabic language, Quran, prayer, and local traditions, so your child grows up grounded as well as capable.

Children work in small mixed-age classrooms, with practical-life activities, scientifically crafted materials, and a child-sized prayer and wudu area. Social and emotional learning sits at the heart of every day.

Why we started AlMayameen

Our founder

AlMayameen Montessori

Rooted in faith and Montessori

AlMayameen was started by educators who believe a child can be grounded in faith and Arabic and, at the same time, ready for any school in the world. We did not want to choose between the two, so we built a place that holds both.

Every classroom, the garden, the Arabic and the Quran, and the small mixed-age groups all come from one idea: that children learn best when they are trusted, respected, and given real work to do at their own pace.

Questions parents ask before they visit

What ages do you take?

We are an early childhood centre for the Montessori years, from the toddler stage up to age six. Tell us your child's age on the form and we will guide you to the right classroom.

Will my child learn proper Arabic and English?

Yes. Arabic and English are part of every single day, not a once-a-week lesson. Children grow up moving naturally between both languages.

How are Islamic values part of the day?

Quran, prayer, and Islamic values are woven into daily life, including a child-sized wudu and prayer area. Your child grows up confident in their faith and heritage.

What is a mixed-age classroom?

Children of different ages learn together in one prepared environment. Younger children learn from older ones, older ones build leadership, and your child progresses at their own pace.

My child has never been to nursery. Will they settle?

Most do, and faster than parents expect. We use a gentle, supported start so your child feels at home in the first few weeks rather than crying every morning for months.

How is Montessori different from a regular nursery?

In Montessori your child chooses and leads their own work with real, hands-on materials, instead of the whole class following one teacher at one pace. It builds independence and a real love of learning.

Where are you, and how do I see the school?

We are in Jumeirah 3, Dubai. The best way to decide is to visit. Fill the form and we will arrange a tour at a time that suits you.

What happens after I submit the form?

We reach out to arrange your visit. You tour the classrooms and garden, meet our guides, and get all your questions answered before any decision.
